I am in CA so emissions is an issue.
I cant decide whether have double muffler and being quiet is better then having a HFC which looks like a cat.

Basically double muffler will be quiet when crusising and I prolly wont get pulled over but if I do it obv doesnt look like a cat.

Or

HFC will be louder and a better chance of being pulled over, but it looks like a cat when I get pulled over incase the cop checks.

What you guys think?


If you could also reply, and give me some reasoning it would be great. Always want to hear why from the more experienced modders.

 

I have the Perrin HFC on my hks system and so far no problems with getting pulled over. Plus it looks like a cat so if I do i am not too worried.

 

I'm not totally sure, but I don't think two Bullet mufflers are more quiet than a Bullet with an HFC. Plus if emissions is an issue, just use the HFC. It not only looks like a cat..... it IS a cat

Better yet, just use the Magnaflow muffler and HFC if you want to be quiet and legal.

 

HFC is actually just as illegal as a test-pipe.

 

run a quieter exhaust. i run an hfc and it didn't make my 3in. exhaust any much louder...although i have a Garage HRS exhaust which is already quiet from the get-go.

 

Stock exhaust with cutout downpipe, you get the best of both worlds
