how do u drive after a tranny rebuild?

how do u drive after a tranny rebuild?

u gotta luv the warranty! my dealer has replaced the following parts on my ix gsr 5 speed tranny and i was wondering how should I drive it and for how long or how many miles should i be driving it that certain way u suggest till i could actulay start driving it like an actual evo owner

1)3rd gear

2)fifth gear

3)3rd gear synchros

4)fifth gear synchros

5)drive shafts bearings

6)some kind of springs (not sure where they are but its part of the tranny rebuilt)

Personally I'd only do an initial shakedown run then, after you determine that it's all snugged up and not leaking any fluids, no restrictions.

Just a simple test-drive; vary the car's speed and engine RPM's. Do some regular shifts and some high-rpm shifts. If it feels good with no weird noises you should be set.

ok well i did almost 200 miles on it so far and at low rpms, b4 the rebuild i used to always notice a notch in my 3rd, luckily now its gone, but sometimes on 5th, i feel a lil metal engagment, is that something normal? this is my first evo, and iam used to the smooth shifting gears that are on dd cars.

every one ive ever drivin has been a bit notchy even brand new ones factory or rebuilt.
