I have not received the used IAC yet. I hope to get it either today or tomorrow via snail mail. Once I do and install it, I will post the outcome in this thread.

 

I had a prpblem with my IAC a while ago..took one off a crashed evo..it did not fit and plunger was a diffrent design..So I took some spray cleaner and hosed the crap out of it dried it and did it again..don't forget to clean the area that the IAC goes into also..car idles fine now.

 

What kind of spray cleaner did you use? Thanks for your input.

 

i had the same problem on my 03 evo.... i could not hold idle and i change the Idle Air Control.

Well looks like I might be experiencing the same issue all over again after replacing the IAC in January, '09..
