Need help diagnosing a problem!!!

Ok so first of all im a big idiot.Yesterday i decide to install my licp.I am dumb because i didnt disconnect the battery.Well everything was going smooth then i touched the starter with a screwdriver and it sparked.I though im an idiot and disconnected the battery. When i finished up i took it for a test drive and everything was fine. After a 20 min very spirited test drive the car felt like a rocket. The next day i go to start my car and its completely dead.I didnt want to but i had to jump it.It fired up quick and everything seemed normal.Upon driving it as soo as i hit 5 lbs the car jerks really hard like stalling out and the electric goes out for a split second.boost gauge turns off and on radio etc.this keeps happening then the car shuts off on its own and the sterring wheel locks up on the freeway.Im thinking great this not good.I cycle it off and on nothing,so i throw it in 4th and pop the clutch its on again. For the remainder of the drive home the car turns off and on every few minutes for just a second. The insturment gauges go out then back on.I have no idea what i fried.can any one help?!!! I do all my own work but when it comes to eletrical i dont even know where to start.please help!!!! thank you__________________

How does installing a LICP make you touch the tranny with a screwdriver and cause a spark?

I was wondering that same thing. By the way it sounds you would need to disconnect the battery every oil change.

Sounds like grounding issues to me.

when you hooked the battery back up, did you make sure you tightened the connections down good? could be loose.

yeah^ the connections are good.I just double checked the ic pipes made sure they were tight.Checked the fuses.I drove it and its normal at 0 boost. Then i punch it and it gets like boost cut it feels like, after that it drives effed up even at 0 boost. It keeps turning on and off really quick like the tach will drop for one second along with the lightsa. And this time the car shut off completely, i turned it back on and it smelled funny and smoke came out of the vent.I pulled over popped the hood and all the smoke had already disapated.I couldnt tell where it came from.

Have you done a boost leak test to rule out a leak causing zero lbs?

check the pipe and make sure its away from the starter. i had a issue when i put my fpgreen on my car the starter line was close to the jpipe but not touching it. the car was fine untill the 3rd pull and the starter hit the jpipe and turned the car off. the battery overheated and almost blew up. it only takes a small touch and itll short all your power out on you. if you can try and move the harness where its bolted to the starter around so its farther away from the jpipe.

how close should the j-pipe on a stock 9 turbo be? mine is SUPER close to the starter. Is it always like that or would adding a new licp force it closer a little bit?

i think you just helped me crack the code!!!! the jpipe is really close, and when i drive normal its fine when i punch it it gets all weird. Its probably because the silicone coupler expands under boost and moves the jpipe over touching the starter and grounding out!!! hahaha. im gonna get a powerade cap and put it in between the two.maybe it will work!!!!
