Dealer screwed up my clutch?

Hey,

I did a search but couldn't really come up with much, so could someone help me out.

I have a stock VIII with 42,000 miles on it. The previous owner drove the hell out of it so the clutch went out on me and I had to get it replaced by Mitsu. I guess they messed up installing it because after they installed the new one it's really hard to engage first and/or second gears sometimes and whenever I shift there is sometimes a loud bang from the rear of the car depending on how fast the shift is. I'm not very mechanically inclined on cars yet, but I guess it's the differential??

Could someone who knows more possibly help me out? I appreciate it.

^yeah, it sounds like you need to adjust the pedal out a bit and it will be fine. As for the loud bang or thud, that is normal when you get a really good shift. Nothing to worry about.

Just needs pedal adjustment: Bleed air from fluid, fill reservoir, jack car with four wheels in air and adjust pedal engage point 2" off floor.

The loud bang might mean your shift points are too low. I get that harsh bang catching 2nd after spinning to redline in 1st. 2nd hits at too low of rpm.

The clunk is either bad mustache bar bushings or your shifting and dumping the clutch. The clutch may need adjustment, or the synchros are bad, or your not pushing the clutch down far enough.
