yes that is a NHRA rule, rear mounted batteries require a cu-toff switch at any E.T.
I've never understood the mini battery idea. All it does is attempt to resolve a problem by potentially creating another problem.
The best solution is to get the battery out of the engine compartment completely. Shifting the weight of the battery from front to rear is beneficial to the weight distribution of the car, and represents a net shift of 2X the weight of the battery. Not to mention, it creates the most additional space in the engine compartment, and you won't be saddled with a puny battery that is undersized for the application.

Does anyone have any pics on how their hooking up the cables in the front of the car ? Are you using some type of block thats mounted or just rapping it up with electrical tape. Tastefully done pics please!
