motor swap question
There are two other members on club3g, Slava and Napalm who both have 2.4 DOHCs who also redline out at 7500. the rod angles are very similar to that of a 2.3 4G63 setup.
I am running 9:1 compression with my intake cam advanced about 6 degrees and the car is powerful out of boost, very fun street motor and doesnt seem to fall off up top. I havent been on a dyno yet, once I turn up the boost and dyno it, I have a feeling im gonna have to retard the intake cam a bit in order to keep the power climbing to redline.
Yes. First of all, you'll need to pay attention to what year Ecu you use, as the 03 didn't have the ACD. You'll also need to get a pinout guide for both the 8 and 9. I'm reasonably sure that aside from the MIVEC they're almost identical, but do this just to be sure.
Just out of curiousity, is it possible to just use the 9 head with the 4g64 block?
