Reverse Sensor Location?

My reverse lights are out- both of them.

1. I pulled the tail lights off, and checked the bulbs. They are both good.
2. I supplied power to the bulb using a power source and it lit up.
3. I Checked for power at the bulb harness and there was none.
4. I Checked all fuses under the hood and in the engine bay using a test light. = All good.

I am not sure how long I have not had reverse lights, but I recently went through some deep snow and mud. On my subaru the reverse sensor was located on the transmission down low. So I suspect I may have damaged the sensor or wiring. However, when I looked down there on my evo 9, I am unable to locate the sensor.

Does anyone know where the reverse sensor is located so that I may test it?

Thanks,
unsung

On the Lancer's I was told it was in the transmission somewhere. That there is a wire that needs to be connected.

My reverse lights are also out.

Go here: http://evomoto.com

Look at step 4 for the reverse sensor.
