Has anyone tryed them Ebay gt35r turbos?
Just search "SS AutoChrome Turbo" and it seems like most of the posts are negative.
Like many have mentioned; the hit or miss chance that it might work well is too much of a risk to have something bad occur.
Also good luck in getting any sort of substantive customer support if something is wrong with the turbo.

Just as a sidenote since I seen more than once someone site a Honda/ Acura running these junk turbos and having good sucess with them. You will find most people who do any kind of decent build on per say honda-tech in the f/i forum run quality Borg Warners, Garrett, Precision, etc... the consesus there is a cheap ebay chinese turbo is just that and the vast majority of them will not run that junk. The people who run them know they are on barrowed time, if they dont... they are in denial and are hoping to be one of the ones who gets lucky.
They are just using the name as a marketing stunt to get you to go, oh oh oh look "GT35r". They are not high speed balanced well if at all, they are assembled with little regard for quality control at best, the wheels are old tech (not true GT by any means), their housings have been known to seperate where epoxied together, they tend to need to have heavily restricted oil feeds cause with any decent oil pressure they push oil like crazy (even the journal bearing units), their bearings are sub standard (along with almost all their components/ materials), people have found cross threaded bolts holding the housings on, people have found small debris or shaft play right out of the package, and most end up paper weights with the hit/ miss QC.
If your trying to find a nice unit on a budget, look to just standard journal bearing garrett units... a 50 trim or 57 trim would spool relatively well and make decent power.

These turbos never last. When you run more than 10psi on them they destroy themselves. The wheels are out of balance from the factory. Getting one that works right is like hitting the lottery. Out of the 100's of thousands of people on Honda-Tech that have run these there are a handful that have been able to run high boost with this junk. We have a lot of people bring cars with these crappy turbo's to be tuned.. lol. Most of the time the turbos self destruct before the tune is even completed.
The last one someone brought over the wheels just fell off when the owner reved the motor sitting stationary - no kidding.

97 NA/T supra here in houston making over 400 rwhp with a full ebay kit...no problems...a little more tuning and some cams and he will break 450. he has no problems no shaft play no leaks no turbo blowing up. I guess it might be a hit and miss but if you have nothing better to do with your time and money buy one, try it, post it.
