4g63 to a 4g64 block

i'm starting this to get some opinons on the 4g64 block i have reed alot about it .
How many people out there have done the swap. i killed my motor and ready to do some thing about it. i like the idea of the destroker kit to 2.1 but the bigest reson for wanting to switch is the price diff. if someone thinks i'm going in the wrong direction please let me know your opinons .

Check out my post here:

I'm using a 4G64 block with a MIVEC head. It's an easy swap, and 4G64 blocks are cheap.

You can use the factory 88mm crank or the factory 100mm 4G64 crank. All aftermarket cranks should work too.

I assume AMS can do this...my squirters were machined by LESCO on my 4G64 block.

Have a machine shop look at the crank! You don't want to risk using a bad one!!

Where in IL you at?

^^ There is alot of good info in here it may not answer the specific questions you have about using the 64 block but it should/will answer alot of questions on the 2.1destroked vs 2.3 strocker vs the 2.0.

Personally I would go 2.2 all the way. 4G64 block, 94mm crank, custom rods and pistons. complete kit is available from Magnus Motorsports, K1(sold by wiseco) also has the 94mm crank and custom pistons made for it and I believe manley makes the rods. This motor is a true compromise of both the 2.4 and the 2.0\

I currently run the 2.4 in my galant and having a rev safe limit of 7500 (8000 if you want to push it a little) sometimes sucks and I wish I could take it to 9000 or 9500.
