Stock Tranny Longevity ?

So I was wondering what the stock tranny longevity might be. I know this depends on a number of variables like whp, number of launches, application use, driver, etc. etc.

Let me know when your stock tranny went out, and what power numbers you were pushing at the time and how many miles you had on it before it went. I'm mostly interested in those of you that use the Evo as a DD and aren't pushing more than 550 whp.

car is a not a DD, i went to the track 3 times with the 35r on it.

I think it depends on how you treat it. there's no exact way of telling...the dude that blew his in 1k is kinda crazy to me, but if he was taking to track 3 times in one month and doing multiple launches that would explain it better

I beat the **** out of my car daily, and was wondering if or when I could expect to have my tranny break on me. I've had issues with getting into gear when it's been cold outside, the tranny fluid needs to running hot before my car feels butter smooth. I know that is pretty normal, regardless I'm gonna replace the tranny fluid here soon and see if I notice any improvements. Car has almost 45K miles on her now.

I'm gonna replace it here very soon. It's already wearing down so I need to replace it again. It's most likely just the oil, cause like I said, once it's warmed up it feel like butter. But if I have to go from a cold start and the car doesn't warm up for like 10 minutes it'll give me a little trouble. I don't think the synchros are going necessarily but it's obvious the synchromesh isn't doing it's job anymore.

i'd quite launching it... I mean if you want to push the higher numbers in HP that's cool.. everyone has their own thing with their cars, but a rebuilt tranny that is stronger is really going to cost you.. not sure of the price, but several thousand. It's not worth it to me to simply be able to launch a car.
