Turbo inputs

I got an 03 EVO VIII and one of the last things on my list to get is my turbo, I am thinking an FP Green or an FP Red. my goal is anywhere between 400 -450 whp and still have the car be reliable cause for now it is the DD.

this is what is on the car:

-megan exhaust manifold and turbo outlet
-tanabe concept g turbo back exhaust and downpipe
-Random technology high flow cat
-AEM short Ram intake

sitting in the garage waiting to go on:
- BC 272 cams
-Greddy Electronic Boost controller
-walboro fuel pump
-680 cc injectors
-turbo XS intercooler and hard piping
-unorthodox racing underdrive pulleys

and still on the list to get is:
- turbo ( red or green)
-clutch
-ECU reflash

let me know any ideas or opinions

dont count out the cbrd bbk. more power than a green, less than a red though. my act clutch is holding the bbk power very well if you dont feel like spending the money on the exedy twin.

Im actually in the same boat right now. Right now I make 380 on Pump and 420 on race with the green so if your goal is 450 you will probably have to go with the red. From what I understand it is in your best interest to consider building the motor if you plan on pushing the limits of the red and run it reliably especialy since this is your dd. If you plan on just running pump with the red you can probably get away with not building the motor. You will need bigger injectors with this turbo though...

You might want to get injectors that flow more than 680cc for 450whp. At least 750-880's.

was gonna sell my 680cc ones cause they have never been in the car, and still sit at home in the package. once I sell them get bigger ones, probably 720cc

What do you think that my car would make hp wise with just the stock turbo? and how high do you think that i can boost the stock turbo's psi?

don't count out the stock turbo yet, my 03turbo made 265whp on a low reading mustang dyno with just tbe with hfc, walbro, using ecuflash running between 19-21 psi. stock 03's make 210-220 on this dyno.

720's are not enough injector for the Red.

680's are enough for the BBK. Go this route if your thinking Green, more power and better spool from what I've seen.

good luck on what u decide, u should learn on this forum nobody is gonna really agree, cuz everyone thinks different i have an 03.... im gonna sacrifice a few hundred rpms spool for a lot more top end power...which if u think will also help u get a bit more gas mileage, seein as how with my supporting mods, i hit full boost on my evo around 3300-3400 around 24 psi spike....so good luck n post a dynograph

On pumpgas, Chad Block seems to favor the 780 injector size for a bolt-on Evo with his BBK.
