Visual diff. t6 vs t4 vs t3

Hey guys..

I have been wondering what are the visual differences between a t3, t4 or a t6 turbo? anything you can measure from the outside that can tell you...I went into Garrett's website and it made me even more confused.

Help is appreciated..

If you arent able to tell by looking at the turbo, the only real way to know is by measuring the flange.

Looking at the list of cars you own/have owned, you would think you would know a little bit about turbos. If you had 1 of each flange in front of you it would be obvious to see there difference. Its kinda like how a mechanic can look at a wrench and tell its a 10mm and not a 12mm without actually reading the engravings.

I could tell from their sizes if they are next to each other...my main problem was distinguishing a t4 from a t6...I never had them side by side...I dont have the 2 in my garage to compare.

you will be surprised at how many turbo cars I owned ...I learned how to tune an AEM and still do not know what they are by just looking at them....some are too close in sizes...I guess I did not care...live and learn
