I too like the NGK BR sparkplugs. For high boost on meth I'd go with the BR8ES gapped at .022"-.024".

If you're using meth, use NGK BR8ES because that will cure for high boost and you won't have problems.

0.28" is way huge, didn´t you intend to type 0.028"? Right now, I am running BR7ES´s set at a wide 0.028" on pumpgas at 23 PSI. I feel that even for my pumpgas application 0.028" is a bit wide and I do mostly high speed highway driving and very little time spent at idle or or in traffic(I shut off the motor at red lights).

I normally run the BR8ES set at 0.024"-0.026" for highspeed driving on pumpgas. If I ran Meth injection I would go with the 8´s or even try the 9´s with a really dinky gap for my type of driving. I think that the 0.028" gap is a bit huge for meth with the stock ignition system. But, I am probably wrong since I´ve never run Meth injection on my Evo.

NGKs

So far, have used several Makes of Sparkies ... & satisfaction guaranteed for NGKs ..

Iridium Densos -- give it a miss if possible. Reliability in question.

Iridium Grex/Trust/Greddy L 7 Racing -- good (hvwr, Greddy filed for bankrupcy recently)

HKS -- duh ... basically NGKs ...why pay extra for the HKS name print on NGK product ...

NGK BR8EIX & BR9EIX - reliable good for street

NGK Racing R-7119-8/9 (fine wire. Super cold) --- good for track/drag and dyno runs ..(Currently on these)

A friend mentions that he was on the SilverNology sparkys ... similar results to the NGKs ...hwvr can't comment on them because personally have not used them ...
