I have heard no whining in any gear at all. I'm guessing the damage done is minimal right now. so it's good I caught it early. HOPEFULLY that will mean it will be cheaper to fix.

if my final drive is messed up I'll probably go ahead and upgrade it to the 4.11 ratio since I have been thinking about doing that anyway.

Quartermaster clutch...that kinda explains it. That multi-plate clutch is like an on-off switch to the transmission. But it sure does hold the power.

I have no idea how much longer it would've lasted, even though this is kinda bad luck, on the bright side I think I caught it pretty early on so hopefully damage is minimal.

FYI Mfactory makes two configurations of the EVO final drive... might wanna check them out. If you decide this may be an option let me know I may be able to hook up a decent price, my buddy runs the Team Mfactory work shop.

I've been thinking about doing a 4.11 final drive ratio since my car is a 2.3 liter, but am unaware of all the positive and negative affects of a 4.11. I started a thread about it here: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ive-ratio.html
