A little help

Hello everyone!!

Proud honor of a 2003 evo with 62k miles. Bought it in tampa FL, well the car gave some problems driving of the dealership( test drive was in a rural road wasnt able to speed) when i stump the gas pedal i get a lag and its like I hit the rev limiter for 2 secs and then cars accelerates, the dealer replaced the clutch, spark plugs and ignition coils and nothing and yesterday they ordered a MAF or MAP sensor cause they say something cuts off the fuel when boost kicks in....anyone help would be appreciate cause i really dont want to return the car and get my money back the vehicle hasnt been tempered with and they are hard to find like that.

Thank you guys ill keep reading forums trying to find an answer.

Sorry about the typing.

Was it upgraded when you bought it? if so what parts are in it

you might just need a tune. Also check your fuel pump and injectors

it might be the clutch or boost leak, if its a stock clutch at 62k its likey the owner beat it or launched it. evo VIII clutches go fast. mine went at 25k

Hey good word of advice to Mr. Dealer. Run nothing but NGKs in the EVO. I also own a 03 EVO 8 and reading this forum will teach you more than you could ever find in a service manual. Good luck with the new ride....
