you mean the wastegate has its own side and other side connects to the downpipe? EPM ( EvoPowerMods) makes a very nice one.

Where will your external WG be sourced at? Will you be flanging the manifold, or extending out from the turbine housing's bypass port discharge?

I like the design of the DP on the EPM O2 dump myself. Q spent a lot of time radiusing the bend and keeping the I.D. at a true 3.0". So, I might buy one of their O2 dumps and cut off the 2" diameter dump tube keeping the 3" DP and the flange. Source your external gate by welding your external gate's tube onto the dump opening on the EPM flange.

You'd have to look at an EPM dump to see if it would be feasible. Or call/PM Q at EPM, he's very helpful.

oo thats a very good idea, but if i go with a ex manifold that has the wastegate flange on it all i would have to do it weld the flapper shut and would be able to still keep using my megan 02 housing??

Look, IMO, given the stock T.S. turbine housing, the 16G's integral gate should perform sufficiently well. I don't really see any advantage in going to a remote gate while retaining the compromised T.S. housing design. That is just my $0.02.

Oh, I thought that you were looking for a one-piece downpipe solution that did not involve a separate O2 elbow, or a contiguous WG chamber. That is why I suggested the EPM as a possibility.

Here's an O2 housing/downpipe combo that's one piece from MAP performance.
http://www.maperformance.com/map-int...ution-8-9.html

If this product came out earlier I wouldn't have bought my O2 housing and downpipe separate. Then also have the option of rerouting the dump pipe back into the downpipe.

So, if you decide to source the external gate at the manifold, would you tap the stock, cast exhaust manifold, or flange an aftremarket header?

im not sure which set up im going to go with yet whether i go with the wg on the ex mani or modify the hotside and weld a flange over the now open flapper hole to incorporate the wg... now if i go with mounting it on the hotside then i would need a new piece that connects the hotside exhaust to my downpipe

if i went with it on the mani then i would just buy a cheaper tubular with the flange already on it and just reinforce it so it wont crack like most cheap ones do... like i said though all about experiments, if the cheap mani makes me lose to much power then i will modifiy the hotside and just put the stock mani back on
