help loud noise

OK first off its not the famous 4g63 tick trust me.

i started to here this slight tick i thought nothing of it since the 4g always ticks but then it started to get worse really bad almost like a rod knock. at idle its fine but then at like 3k its really load. i was thinking camshaft broke or worn, rod knock, skipped timing, bent valve, i don't know. also when i try and drive it it some times just dies out of know where in the middle of a turn and its really laggy i have to slam the peddle to the floor for it to go anywhere crazy help me out.

Sounds like to me it's a rod bearing going bad does your motor burn oil and did you drive it when it was low on oil?

If the sound is coming from the top it might be a rocker from the cams are you sure it coming from the top not from the bottom because the sound and rpm you mentioned is usally the symptom of a rod bearing lso one quart low wouldn't cause a problem unless your abusing the **** out of it.How many miles on the motor.boost setting, mods and is it the mivec motor?

i think its coming from the top.

i haven't really abused the car. there's 43k on the motor boost is 25, just basic bolt on's for mods nothing crazy and its not a mivec motor.
