But I dont think bushcur or ams has a better head program than headgames in NJ.
Once again headgames is just a NAME to me.. Unless i saw a head before and after on my car i wouldnt even begin to guess which is better.. I can tell you this.. I had a head i paid 2300.00 for just the port work from a guy who did a VERY WELL KNOWN head for a supra and guess what.. Buschur head Picked up power over it.. So i can say i know for a fact Buschur Head is better than that company.. I cant say who is the best unless i tested them all..

I'm pretty sure that AMS now does the CNC porting and no longer uses headgames. There is no debate that both these companies are top notch and some would argue the two best performance companies for Evo Enthusiast. I can pretty much guarantee you will be happy with either company. My suggestion is pick one company to build your engine ( head work and bottom end) and stick with them. My personal favorite ( if a had unlimited funds lol) would have to be a AMS CNC Head with their 2.3RR bottom end. That engine would basically be bullet proof and let you have 2.0 revs with 2.3 torque : )

Back on topic... I agree with Mike 110%. Smart guy that man... I'm glad he made the 2300 dollar mistake and I didn't have to.

Yeah the ams cam test was done with a headgames head. Interesting that they changed programs, I would imagine it is because they have bought the equipment to build heads and make more profit.

Do you have the thread? I would like to see it, did they use the same size valves? There is also alot of ways to make it look like a head flows better. Becareful to see what the " of water were too!

Like mike said we can't say who's head is the best unles it's tested back to back. I, of course, was talking about car heads.

Hmmm, you mentioned headgames and a guy who does supra heads, I wonder who it is?

from what i have heard gre now does ams race heads

http://www.greracing.com/

the cnc only creates consistancy from head to head it doesn't make any more power then a properly done hand ported head

ive wondered the same thing myself, but after thinking about it i looked at price vs hp and i just dont see the cnc head giving enough power increase over the BR head to justify the price diff. not taking sides thats just the way i came to a decision since money IS an object for me...

AMS nutswingers will buy an AMS head and Buschur nutswingers will buy buschurs head.

I have seen a stock 2g head run high 8's so I really think porting is a worthless cause unless you really need that extra 13whp.

I can thinkk of many ways to make up 13 whp other than throwing thousands at a head.
