problems after coil on plug install

i recently installed a first gen buschur coil on plug on my evo 8. started up fine. changed oil drove down the block and car dies. couldn't get it started for like 10 minutes and finally got it to run but sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders. sounds like a subaru if you ask me. put stock plugs and pack in and rewired to stock harness and still same problem. seems like no spark from cylinder 1 and 4. with stock plug and coils in, if i pull the harness off of the number 2 coil, it'll die, but if i pull the harness off of number 4, car keeps running like it's sparking on 2 cylinders only. car smells like big fuel also. i'm assuming if it's not getting spark from 1 and 4 then fuel is being built up there. any ideas. i'm thinking it's not getting power from harness that plugs into coil number 4. any ideas would be appreciated. thanks.. also, could i have shorted something out. all wiring was dead on to. thanks.

If it's both setups failed, I'm going with ECU ignition driver circuit voltage WAY TOO HIGH.

Got a CEL? Maybe Ignition Circuit Voltage High? I'm not sure but I think the ignition circuit is a negative switch/constant hot. Low resistance across the circuit can blow the ECU driver.

the wiring was provided by jrod himself at buschur. the day it happened it didn't throw a cel but i checked the next day, it threw a code. waiting for brother in law do drop off his obd2 scanner. but i'm with broxma with the ecu prob. it sparks on 2 and 3 but not 1 and 4. swapped coils and still same problem.. so if it's an ecu prob. can i get that fixed or do i have to get a new ecu. i'd hate to drop off the car at a local stealership to diagnose the problem. but thanks for all your input and infos. appreciate the help.
