I just had this same p0335 code, just last night my car would slowly turn over and this morning would not start, so I sat there for 10 minutes then it barely started, I drove home and it threw the CEL. It comes up as the 0335 code. Probably my battery?!?!

if your car is having a hard time starting then replace your battery

I just got these codes on my car after my cam, valvespring, cam gear, headstud install. I think mine is on either because my sensors aren't plugged in real well or because my cam angle sensors are bolted in upside down or something.

Bump to bring this back for someone else to answer or give ideas.

you really cant have either of those, if you dont think its plugged in well then you should throw sum dielectric grease on it, and it cant be in upside down...

I'm not talking the plug, I'm talking the acutally piece that bolts into the end of the cam. It has grooves on it that the sensor reads when they pass by it. I'm kinda thinking I have one in upside down so it's throwing the sensor off. I tired unplugging it and what not, car will fire and die right away. Maybe the ecu is thinking it's out of time by 180 degree cause the sensor is upside down and therefore killing the motor as soon as it starts up? Maybe a safety mechanism??

I just need to pull both caps off I guess and look and see where there are.

Check your ignition coil. Had this problem before and it turned out that my ignition coil blew up from too much resistance and I was only running 2 cyl.

Mines fixed! Was pretty easy and the first thing I thouht to check after obvious (plug). My cam angle sensor trigger was loose from the cam. Took cover off and torqued down to 17ft/lbs. car runs fine minus that it needs a reflash real bad after the cam install!

Okay guys, here is my problem. I read my SES codes and got P0300 (which i don't care because it always pop up randomly ) and P0335, P0340.

My car is stock except an unknow testpipe and i have 53000k on the car.

The difference with you guys is that my car runs fine ... The only time the car had a f*****k PITA to start was two weeks ago, when the temperature was -22 F. Took me like 5-6 try to start the car and it finally starts but was running like a pig which is totally normal since this car do not have block heater and i don't have pan heater neither.

So is it dangerous if I keep driving my car ? i have cleared the codes and personnaly, i think i should not worry unless codes comes back ... ?

Thanks !

lol seems my car is now doing this as well. i am suspecting that it might be from my plugs with the coil packs on them. just curious if any of the other guys that had these codes got it fully fixed and if so what was the issue?
