Ya I was tuned. You looking between the runners of the exhaust manifold at the block and the golfball size hole in it. Also my radiator was leaking really bad from the passanger side. I think what ever can out of the motor put a hole in it. I was to pissed to take anything apart to know more but probably won't get to it tell this weekend.

jeffs been running meth for a while, maybe a year or so i would imagine. this was really like the second day on the red. we tuned it, made awsome power, and the turbo took a ****. FP determined it was foreign contaminates in the oil line to the turbo which caused the thrust bearing failure. they were a great help at helping fix it, and now that it is fixed the motor blew odd that it happened at part boost/rpm. but high torque and the stock rods can just give. i'll have to help check over everything. the failsafes on the meth should have been working properly too i would imagine.

Which rod bolts did you have in the vehicle? That's some damage right there.

new oil cooler, new vales at least a couple, head redone, new oil lines, new coolant, new oil, get lots of stuff washed and cleaned, the intake is going to have lots of oil in it, clean the intake well, clean the TB, oil line filter :-) for turbo, new block, balance delete?, Head Gasket, New Lifters, new oil pump, lots of seals, all over, oil pickup, water pump, oil pump, head seals, cam seals, clean oil pan well, might have a hole in it, check it well. I just did it my self and am at this point Good luck its fun, ask me if you need anything or where to get stuff at, STM sells a great oil cooler option, have not installed mine yet but you can search for my post about it and such. Will be installing later soon. Lifters from Jackson Racing 3G large lifters.

I am sorry to hear about that man. I glimpsed at your list and I didnt see an intercooler listed there. Do you have the stock one on there? Using the meth to help cool for now maybe? Either way coming out of the corner created a great load on the engine and it gave out. Good luck with the rebuild.

A good friend of mine had this happen no more than 2 months ago. Was going around a corner at half load and bam the block gets gernaded. He was on a Green with stock internals I believe.

I'm sure the failure here is the rod bolts. No other explanation needed really. This is what happens when you've got 500 whp on stock internals. Sorry to hear the bad news bro, I feel really bad for you, especially since you just put the Red on.

I'd also recommend the buschur build. Don't know about the turn around since you don't have a core, but I wish you the best of luck. But whatever you do, don't get another stock block, you really need upgraded rods and pistons to ensure this sort of thing doesn't ever happen again.
