well before i put the red on the second time i did an oil change. also cleaned out the oil return line and added the fp oil feed line. it could be possible but i dont know enough. needles to say but the first thing im doing on my next evo is building the motor hahaha. its hard to say if there was really contamination that caused the red to go out. the turbo had already been rebuilt by fp once before because some bearings went out. i sent it back to fp and they ran some tests on it and determined it was some foreign debris.
It almosts would seem like some of that stuff that killed your turbo got into your rod bearing and it just seized up.
GL with the rebuild, its too bad you gotta find a new block now. Maybe look at getting a 4g64 and doing the BR 2.1 for even less money.
