White Rabbit need help....

WHat kind of turbo is the white rabbit??? ball bearring or what??

.... need to find out asap because i think i bleww my turbo and i want to rebuild it or get a new one... its having alot of blow by and i just changed the pistons and head gaskets and everything and its not it.. its still smoking and my turbo is having a small leak.. im guessing its pushing all the oil to the rings, pistons and its too much compression.....

the white rabbit turbo was just a upgrade, using 20g compressor wheel ..

10.5 turbine housing, standard turbine wheel
( you can make it others too 9.0, 9.8 )

evo 4-8 compressor housing
( so its the smaller one, not the evo 9 ! )

and 20g compressor wheel
( 52.5mm / 68mm vs standard 48.3mm / 68mm )

somewhere I have read some surge problems, but then again, someone mention that with a little chance those problems can go away...
my opinion is that even a standard evo 9 turbo is better, than old white rabbit..

did you have any surge problems with it ?

maybe you can just take the turbo off and get some rebuild kit to it, and
then get the chra balanced ( middle section, with wheels )
that is maybe the cheapest way..

then again, one off the best is maybe the standard evo 9 turbo...
or if some extra cash on the pocket, then get used evo 9 turbo and make
it to bbk lite version ( billet compressor wheel and extra 10lbmin flow )
so you can have standard spooling and 400whp

oh for real well i never thought about it that way.. is cause my car is been out for awhile already and i miss it and i want it back but im willing to wait a little longer if its worth it.. well the only proble is that its leaking oil to the intercooler to the engine then to the pistons which then its too much compression and when i gunn it the dipstick just pops out and the oil goes flying everwhere

White rabbit was a STOCK Evo VIII turbo/10.5 hot side with the billet compressor wheel that is still used in the green and red (IIRC). CALL Forced Performance as they can hook you up.

I still run one of the original WR turbos myself...

Yeah, as Zeus states, call FP and send your WR in for a rebuild. It's a no brainer.

they made evo 9 white rabbits also with the tme wheel in them, which has very bad compressor surge!

To the op go with a green!!!

Me thinks that you're getting it a bit mixed up, old boy! ALL White Rabbits had the TiAl exhaust wheel. The ones that surged was due to the VIII compressor housings, either on the early WR VIII's or the early BR 20G's equipped with the VIII compressor housings.

Call FP, no one better to fix your turbo then the people who made it! Talk to them, see what your options are. If anything, you can find used IX turbos on the FS forum here for under 500$ if the repair is going to cost more then like 400$ I'd just get a IX turbo.
