You are going back a few generations, so the exact nomenclature has become a bit nebulous in my mind. There have been so many 20G aftermarket variations and upgrades and different names for the same, or very similar FP turbos. But I'll give it my best shot.

I think that the latest iteration is the BR 20G-LT, which is the same turbo as the Forced Performance EvoGreen. There were a couple of earlier versions however. There was the BR 20G-8-5, which used the VIII compressor housing. This is the one that had surge issues, I think. The BR 20G-9-5 was the successful upgrade of the earlier BR 20G-8-5, configured with the IX compressor housing. This last one apparently cured the surge problem.

Incidentally, the BR 20G-8-5 was very similar to the WR-8. They both used the 5-bladed FP White Rabbit compressor wheel. The only difference was in the turbine wheels. The White Rabbits(WR-8, & WR-9) both used the TiAl turbine wheels from the TME, or JDM RS, while the BR 20G's used standard Inconel turbine wheels.
