The last time I talked to Greg @ GSC about JUN 272s.. He quoted, "They used to be a very good cam, but now they are a thing of the past and there are so many more options and better ones at that.." The S2's seem to be very good since they have similar spool to stock and have very good gains all throughout the power band.. I would get S2's or BF 272s, which is what I'm going to run.. but then again, I usually run all buschur parts JUN's are good cams in my eyes though.. They just don't have as much lift as S2's, but then again.. its not all about lift either, especially since JUN's have a very aggressive ramp rate.. but in other words.. either or is fine !

Go with the S2's for just one fact. If you have a problem with them or arent satisified im sure Greg at GSC will help you. I bought Cosworth M2 cams and they suck. The only difference was 10 hp more in the midrange and a lope idle. I wasent happy and cosworth didnt care. I wish i could switch to the S2's when i get my FP red.

Just to make matters more difficult for you..
we ground up a bunch of Jun Spec 272 10.8mm evo 8 cams.... yes same exact spec as jun. A customer sent in a set of jun cams and ordered a bunch to sell under there own name... welll the economy slowed and we got stuck with 30 sets of JUN 272 cams... if anyone wants them they are $500 a set same as our S1 or S2 Evo 8 Cams..

As far as what i would pair them on I think they would preform very well on a 2.3 or 2.4L with a decent sized turbo... the 1mm is pretty fat and will work great for a road race car probably something with a stock head or mild port...
