I dunno, What does Buschur say? I just have seen this problem over and over again.

I think R&R makes a good set of rods that does not seem to have this problem.

Last I know people were trying to helicoil the threads in order to get them to hold better.

Well its been a while. I have been so busy with customer projects and my own STI which has taken huge amounts of time.

Lets bring you up to speed.

Thanks to David Buschur for supplying the amazing new spec Buschur piston by JE which is simply a work of art. Master Lego here at Dyno Flash expertly installed the new stock bore pistons into the block and last evening we proceeded to start to do some base line tuning and break in on the dyno.

Here is a video we made of the process

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRbmDOu-qfE

At the conclusion of the tuning session - after the cops shut us down re: a noise complaint - we noticed that the HKS cam gear had slipped on the intake side and the cam timing was off 6 degrees. As soon as I have a chance, I am going to get that set back to zero and tightend up and see what effect that chance has - if any on the dyno sheet.

The cam gear was off; the dyno break was dragging and I had my heavy and very wide and (still slipping and spinning) street wheels

Later today I am going to redyno with the normal race wheels I did the base line on - and with the dyno break re-adjusted
