Blox Front Motor Mount Install

Every post about this mount claims a breeze of an install, but I can't for the life of me get the cross member bolts to line up...

when the 2 front bolts and mount are good, the rear bolt is 1/4 inch off. is there some sort of order of operations, or do i just need more leverage? the rear bolt is getting stripped as is...

thanks.

Have you tried flipping the mount 180 degrees? That worked for me

no need to flip, it fits either way. use a screwdriver to line the mount hole up. The engine will settle once the cross member is out. This really is a breeze

i had previously connected the mount first then tried lining up the bolts. you say connect the cross member and tie rods first, then worry about lining up the mount?

Also if you look closely one hole is circular and the other is slightly elongated to allow for some adjustment.

If one hole is fixed how do you suspect you can adjust it? It is really for variance on the crossmember.

If you have to wiggle it use the tie bar; connect the bolt at one end and the center bolt. Just snug them up or finger tight. Use the other end for leverage and line things up.
Leave all the bolts on the cross member and motor mount loose so you can line things up and get the threads started. Once that's all good go back and tighten things to spec.

good call...connected the rear bolt first, forced the mount into position with a round file, everything else lined up.
