exhaust shopping is driving me crazy...

Alright this is what i want... TBE w/Racepipe not HFC

Now i really like the clean cut look of the buschur exhaust with the bullet muffler, I just want to make sure it has the sound i want, honestly I don't mind if it is loud i want a good sounding exhaust I saw a video last night of it and it sounded great.

My only pet peev with it is the design, everytime i see a used buschur exhaust it looks burnt brown or black and like its about to eat through itself and also the slip fit design doesnt sit with me so well, if someone could explain a little more how that works. Now dave don't take that negatively because i really like your exhaust and performance is second to none. Right now I have the JUNBL cat back and i just don't like how far it sits from the bumper, only thing is that i have a WW IX and am afraid of the exhaust burning the bumper so thats also why i would like to go with the buschur because of the design of their tip.

From the looks of it though, shouldnt it take away from power if it goes from 3" to the small tip, or is the tip 3" i can't tell in the pics. I want a mean sounding exhaust that wont burn my bumper, put it this way I had a apexi N1 TBE on my mazdaspeed protege and i loved the way it sounded... deep throaty and aggressive. I don't mind having a n1 style canister just as long as it wont burn the bumper... and screw those carbon pieces if i have to i will get the pipe extended somewhere to make it come out further if that is my only choice.

Sorry for the rambling but exhaust is just a seriously crazy experience and trying to buy the right one can be a pain... I wish we could create a thread for ONLY PICS/VIDEOS no talking no opinions just pics and vids, this alone would help out with people deciding what they want.

So if there is anyone that could help me out, pics, vids, hell even opinions at this point i really don't care... just look at what i am asking and come at me with ideas.

thisonecountz,

The black or coloring of the exhaust has to be from the fueling, the cars you are seeing must be rich. The exhausts are all 100% 304 grade stainless.

The slip fit design. Actually we have changed our exhausts quite a bit. They have been changed since about 8 months ago, maybe longer now. Time goes by fast. Our downpipes are now completely flanged on both ends and the offroad pipe/high flow cats are also flanged to bolt to the downpipe. The catback still slip fits and so does the muffler. The exhaust comes with very high quality stainless steel band clamps. These should be tightened with either a 1/2" ratchet and some serious muscle or an impact works best. They seal perfectly and if you tighten them, will not slip or move.

If you want the ultimate in sealing etc., we offer a complete V-band system. It adds $200 to the cost but is SWEET. It's what I run on my own car.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.

Ok.. Finally after 2 months, I finally got some parts of my TurboXS RFL TBE installed.
I installed the catback, took me a while as of some minor fitment issues ( Stock cat wont align well the TXS )

Sound is nice overall. I still have to install the downpipe and the cat delete ( Thinking about getting HFC, Perrin, Instead of the cat delete )

Car pulls harder, but I dont know why the car itself seems heavier.. or maybe I just didnt get used to it yet!

UGLY STOCK

Sometimes, too much information works against you! I red so much that my head hurts... My conclusion is to purchase V clamped Buschur exhaust with magnaflow and HFC... I thought about getting GREDDY but it is neck down at the cat and is heavier than others. Also, the bend in pipe seems to be more restrictive (more curve) than Buschur... Performance, weight saving, and looks... All pointed me to Buschur TBE.... I can not wait until they have special on "V Clamped" TBE... I missed huge saving they had on slightly used V Clamped TBE for $200 less than advertised price...

Anyone out there with Buschur V clamped TBE on EVO IX. How's the clearance with ACD on IX (Buschur downpipe)?

JIC Titanium Exhaust has to be one of the straighest on the market, there are virtually no angles, its comletly straight all the way back.....i also got turboXS test pipe and HKS Downpipe, making it a VERY straight piped system....and LOUD AS HELL!!

ehh im sure its been talked about a few times, but with 58 pages i figure i will post up a small sound clip video...

Megan racing 3" TBE
Proven to add some ponies on the dyno and here is a little sound clip video i had made on the 18th..

For some reason, i like it more than ALOT of exhausts that i have heard.. its got a deep sound rather than the raspy sound...

thats my current setup is a megan racing 3" TBE and i read almost every page didnt really find much, but i dont like the resonated cat delete pipe that comes w/ megan racing's TBE so i want a straight test pipe that bolts up to the DP and CB

Aps?

I read only half of the pages on this. I have 3.5" APS turboback and it is truly outstanding. Sound and performance is 2nd to none. Just from hearing and riding with other evo enthusiasts. Good to 600 hp. Cant go wrong!
