Didn't you see the sound clip link for the RMR exhaust on the first page of this thread?

Really? I was leaning toward the RMR because I thought it would be quieter, even though the AMS might sound a bit better. Did that AMS happen to be one of the rare ones with a resonator?

You can check with doc_evo on this but I had the one with a resonator and for me it was too quiet. He had an RMR on his car and it was too loud. Long story short, he got an AMS without the resonator and I swapped midpipes with him. He has been in my car resonated and not resonated and I think he will confirm it is still quieter then the RMR. I never got to hear the RMR on his car so I can't tell you the exact difference.

I love the sound of the AMS and the quality was top notch. I've had it on the highway and it does not drone at all.

Not too loud would be B&B and AMS. My website www.drcimports.net has a sound clip of the AMS and RMR (both catback w/ stock cat) and I can get you sound clips of B&B also. Let me know if I can help. thanks !

No GReddy exhaust yet for the Evo. I am sure they are working on it dilegantly (sp?) since the release of the HKS exhausts.

Any thoughts on ravin exhaust systems? Cheap and more reliable than magnaflow.

I checked with a local dealer on ravin exhausts. All stainless (2.5"), straight through, catback system for $270 inc. labor!

I can vouch for the RMR turbo back exhaust system being a nice deep sound but still very quiet. No droning at highway speeds, but a nice rumble when starting up and taking off.

Very smooth sound, looks very good as well. Spent all day in an Evo8 with the RMR turbo-back exhaust system and it was just right!

The AMS might be equally as quiet but from what I remember of the RMR any quieter and you might as well just keep it stock and save a thousand bucks.
