An interesting point is made here in this thread. On this board there are some high profile stock ECU tuners, and some really are clueless about the more esoteric parts of stock ECU such as modifying the knock control tables. My friend recently decided to try going back to the stock ECU from Autronic just for the safety of knock control.

He paid for one of the high profile stock ECU tuners on the board for his help, not really for the basic tuning of fuel and the timing curve, but for help with all the intricacies of the stock ECU. As it turns out, the tuner was pretty crap in any help with the fancy stuff. Sucks for my friend cuz he paid like 350 for basically nothing. He asked for a partial refund and was denied when really the tuner had done nothing.

I think it would be helpful if the high profile flash guys made it clear up front how in depth they know the stock ECU tuning. Clearly how well you know all the little details of the stock ECU the more effective you will be at tuning them.

It's on the engine black facing the firewall underneath the intake manifold. Difficult to get to but can be reached if you get your hand underneath the intake manifold from the side. If you want pics there is diagrams in the workshop manual.
