I could not agree more, if they are firing in improper order it definitely will run rough. (think of the piston not being high enough for proper compression and the plug firing anyway)

Not related at all.. That shouldn't affect the tune at all.

Try a new coil and wires. IX’s have different wires too.

I doubt it's mechanical

me.

BTW can somebody post up a picture their motor with no valve cover on it? I just want to double check... the paranoia has set in.
It seems a lot of people haven't read the thread before suggesting fixes...

If you guys would read the thread you'd noticed that it is very likely that OP has mistakenly rewired the plugs in the wrong order. Nothing is physically broken or no cal needs to be retuned or any of that.

Blizzacck man, all you need to do is rewire your plugs its a 5 minute job. I am 99% sure that they are just mixed up. Follow my diagram from the service manual and I am pretty sure you will be good to go.

If that is NOT the case, then we are back to the drawing board with other suggestions. Although like I said im 99% sure thats it.

OP - Did you run a thread chaser down that hole before installing a new spark plug of the correct length? If not you probably knocked loose a bunch of crap that was built up in the unused thread space.

A thread chaser would also knock the buildup loose so, it doesn't really make a difference.

Hey buddy, I searched through my manual like 900 times and couldn't find it. tried pulling up the manual online and couldn't find it either. By any chance could you get me an actual picture of which wires/packs go where?

OKAY yep. noob mistake.... it was as ktk said... mismatched coil/wires

I didn't see your diagram at first because I had no idea you put one up in that post. Went right to page 3 and started asking for things already in my thread.

I feel kinda foolish, but at least my car is running perfectly fine now!

*three cheers for stoner memory!!*
