Buschur upper ic pipe is nice but requires the mini battery. You could reroute stock batter to turn which isn't to difficult. The ebay lower ic pipe is the same thing as AMS's

thanks for the comments guys. ya i read some great feedback on the buscher ucip, but doesn't that need a mini battery kit? and is it compatible with the oem bov? is there is a flange for it?
with regards to the lcip, I see that the aftermarket stuff also has that tapper to it, so isn't that the same as the stock one, what is the upgrade?

Hello,

We have an upper intercooler pipe that can fit with the stock battery, use the stock recirc and work with the stock blow off valve or any other valve. We sell it in gloss black, gloss silver and flat black. We can also do polished stainless steel or aluminum for an additional charge.

If you have any questions let me know! The Stock Battery upper pipe starts at $289.00

Thanks,

Michael

I am leaning towards buschur as well. My question is can you just run the race fmic w/ the lower piping and keep the stock uicp instead of replacing that as well?

Whatever you do, pick up a LOWER intercooler pipe that has a bracket welded to it in order that the pipe does not get spit. If you look at Mitsubishi's OEM Lower Pipe, it has two (Yes, 2) brackets welded to it so that at stock 289bhp the pipe does sit in place and does not move at high boost. Now, imagine doing 360whp at a dyno and pipe keeps getting spit. Even worse, imagine going on a freeway, with NO shoulders, and the pipe gets spit. Car stalls, cant move; crazy drivers honking horns!!! Well both scenarios happenned to me.

Synopsis: When it comes to pipes, buy ones that have AT LEAST HAVE ONE BRACKET WELDED to it.

Trust the vehicle's original designer that put them there.
