going off fp stats the hta 30r has the same flow rate as the fpred but comes in a bigger compressor housing.

I have a gt3071 and making around 480 DLL numbers on meth.

As Mike said the RED is the way to go. Bolt it up and have fun. No lag and worry free. It has been proven the RED is a very capable turbo. If I owned a street evo the RED would be the turbo hands down.

I want to add one more thing. Everyone keeps saying 35R gives you more room down the road. Both only give you more room if the motor and mods are there to support it. My RED made 631 so I know it makes plenty of power. Dont buy a 35R and just trun up the boost. Your limited with both turbo's at 500 whp due to the motor. Both turbos can make 500 without blinking and the red bolts right up. Just an FYI...

Talking

really it depends on price range. the red is high on torque and is great for street but i have a 3o76 on e85 and is awesome but more expensive for the whole setup. The plus side theres room for way more improvement when you get the setup. But with red, your pretty much at end and who wants to ride on a maxed out red every day boost wise, cause who under tunes, every one goes for the gusto. I have respect for the red but am satisfied with my 30r . GOOD LUCK>

if you not do anything to motor I think getting Red is the best to do it.
but if you want to built motor do 30r or 35r.

this has been the questions for me as a future evo owner.

Like others have said already...

Street - Red
Track - 35r

unless.. you go all out with engine build. If that's the case, get 35r while you're at it since you'll probably max out the red before 35r

My vote is the red. That is, unless youre going to build the engine. In that case, you could still go red and run higher compression
