#1 like the other guys said. RE-CHECK the cam trigger. Although the cam gear goes on only one way... the trigger on the other side can go 2 ways. (180 degrees opposite) W/ the key in the TDC position (straight up) the bigger vane on the cam trigger should be in the lower right hand side (if looking directly at it). Meaning the cam itself could be installed correctly but the trigger for the sensor is 180 degrees off.

# 2... 7-8 psi is an obvious sign of a leak. Even your stock wastegate actuator should allow you to boost a minimum of 11psi right away. If it takes a while to get there or even to 15psi (lots of lag) then you have a leak. The turbo is over working itself to create positive pressure in the manifold when most of it is leaking out somewhere. Do a leak test.

# 3... Crower cams need to be degreed. They cannot be simply dropped in and work to full potential. Its easier when the motor is out to properly degree a cam, so good luck. Looks like they are a 106 degree centerline. (stock is about 111 for the Exhaust cam) The intake is Mivec so its variable (so nothing you can do for Intake)

hey i just spoke with people at crower and they said that nothing should be done with these. you just have to tune the car. now about the cam trigger, can it be adjusted without removing the cam?

you might want to re-do the compression test. And you can't hear boost leaks with the car at WOT unless unless there is an amazing sized hole, which could be the case for you.

140, 152, 168, 186,
are you smoking at all?

with such a variable compression, rings or a head gasket might be shot.

did you pull the head off when you did the cam swap?

ok, not to be a *****, but why do you have cams in, untuned, and you are trying to boost anyways? you need to get a tune as soon as possible... did you take the head off to do your cams???

Good point. I remember when I installed my GSC 280's and went out to tune the car, I was 1 a/f point leaner due to the increased air flow.
