no boost slow boost

i dont even know where to post this anymore, but here it comes. i just put in brian crower cams in my ix with no tune and a manual boost controller. the car doesn't want to boost. it boosts very slow and barely reaches 15psi.

check for leaks make sure you installed your mbc right sounds like you have it backwards.

um...? idk if i would be romping on it with cams and no tune. Take it to get a tune and just get them to fix the mbc, would only take a few mins.

but if a had leaks i would have heard one. im gonna try to switch the mbc hoses around now and see what happens. i have the mbc connected to the intake on the turbo and actuator.

would i hit 15psi with hoses switched around the wrong way?

yes thats correct but what mbc do you have? you have to make sure the lines are going to the right ports on the mbc

its hallman. and odds are you wont hear a boost leak. vacuum leak, sure.. but a boost leak you need to test for that. and dont get on it until you're properly tuned.

hallman well look up the which line the turbo is supposed to go to and wastegate outlet is supposed to go to. i have a forge so its different.

i just tried it both ways and still nothing. 6k rpm = around 15psi. boost is coming on real slow and it feels like im driving n/a. wow im gonna go crazy here.

Naw, you don't have it connected to the compressor inlet. Instead, you must have the hose connected to the nipple located on compressor discharge tube, aka the "J" tube.

Yeah, I too understood that he meant to write compressor, and, not intake. I was just being a nit picker.
