That is not true

There was no secret when this motor had a problem, perhaps you did not follow my numerous videos on the subject?

IMHO - when you push **** to the edge you have to expect that you are going to break parts. That is just part of going very fast - period.

Also, so you know the failure had nothing to do with pump gas.

The old style JE pistons did not have enough material under the wrist pin to hold the piston together at ultra high rpms applications and the wrist pin woud eventually pull out from the bottom of the piston

The newer design Buschur / JE piston has a lot more material and is much stronger

BTW - everything looked very good inisde the original motor - all bearings perfect, no other damage.

Its not my car. I run only Buschur engines in my Evo. I like the excelent balance, tight set up, smooth ra decking etc. All the small details which come from Buschur's 20 years of DSM engine building experience.

how is your beast treating you? I cant wait to see some track times from you. Al

I don't blame George for waiting on the rebuild....if he was thinking of selling the car "as is" why bother throwing parts at it.

Nice to see the sale fell threw....(im saying that for evom's and my own selfish reasons.... because as long as the car is at ICS I know you guys will post vids this summer)
....and frankly, that car is my favorite CT evo by far so nice to see it remain here.

Buschur car Bushur Power!

I needed to whip something up together until my Buschur engine is back just to cure my fix.

I agree... for months I kept walking buy the Bad Bish having conversations with here.

It encouraged me to put my car together and Shoot for Mike from AWD's ET... It may not be easy but I am gunning for that high 8 second pass.

I have to upgrade a few things but I will keep those of you who are interested up to speed.

I could not agree with you more on that. I was smiling from ear to ear when I found out that the buyer who had sworn up and down for months he was taling the car backed out.

Frankly, I like the idea of two running, fully functional 9 second Evo 8's ready to run at Dyno Flash sitting in front.

If George can ever find the time to get to the track his car is going to run a great time, its significantly lighter than mine and has about the same power.

No... Sir Hater.. the M Coupe made 761 whp on stock internals pump gas and meth on a factory DME before it folded 3 rods. The M Coupe is up and running with forged internals.

Thats funny!

Funny to me becuase he made over 750 whp on pump gas and meth on the stock bottom end and then bent a rod and the M coupe was back up and running with rods and forged pistons within 36 hours of when it broke.

As soon as George has some time, with a new fuel system and the built internals the M coupe will be exceeding 800 whp.

The last guy who wanted to run a 8 second time slip on a 62 mm turbo wound up with a FP green running mid tens

I would advise you do less talking and more ACTION

Perhaps you can start with a nice gentle 9 second pass and then work your way into the 8 second club?

If I find any more band aides on my car, I am going to have to head to the track with my Evo to show you what a fast Evo looks like

lol

Just another day at the office

PS - It was a good thing that you broke the engine so Performance BMW had a reason to do ANOTHER feature on the car this week

With the fortified internals it should easily handle 1000 whp or more with no problems. Just need to go to the Gt30 turbos.
