Which Engine Oil is the Best
Dyno test video of an Evo 6. I know we don't have access to some of the oils he's testing but interesting to see how low the Mobil 1 makes compared to others.

AFAIK power made on the dyno does not really have a relationship (possibly an inverse relationship if any) to the best wear protection, which I assume we are all most interested in. The workshop that did that testing also appears to be sponsored by Nulon.
I think the results from approved tests (eg: 4 ball wear test) are more relevant to the selection of an appropriate oil. I wouldn't trade my bearing life for 6 HP.

why would you when you can run a good synthetic quality 5W30 or 10W30 and ensure your engine doesnt starve and you get oil in the critical places.
0W40 mobile is not their trully synthetic and on a boosted car you dont want to play with oil turbos cook oil's

A little think for my blood, I run Amsoil HDD Heavy Duty Diesel 5w-30 in my Evo.

Well it's always me, but once again, it's cheap and it's good. Rotella. You can get it at walmart and I know for a fact it runs in some 9000rpm V8s. Zinc dithiophosphate. Big word. Fun to say. Valvetrains LOVE it.
I've never used it in a car but that's all me and my step father use in our Dirt Bikes.
Anyone else run 0w40 mobil for an extended period yet? Planning for a bump in power in the future, and thinking about changing to a more durable oil as well (a readily available, cost effective change)
