Sooo, tonight I was blasting home and I was in 3rd gear, went for 4th, felt a sudden burst of compression and heard a loud grind.. As quick as I could I stepped back on the clutch and pulled over.. Think I might have went for 2nd by accident, I don't know how!

Popped the engine bay and the spark plug wires shot up, but everything else with the engine looks fine.

Car won't go in gear when it is on, but when off I can put it in all gears and start it.

I think the pressure plate is mashed up. What else could be wrong?

 

that happen to mine, and the springs from the disc fell apart...

I'm just happy my engine is alright, lol..

The spark plug wires shot up? What does that mean. If you drive a Evo III then if I recall you have no coil over plug, just plug wires going to the plugs. What do you mean they "shot up"?

 

They came out of the hole lol. Like the pressure blew them up.

 

All four plug wires?

 

Yep. Not completely out, but just out of place. They just had to be pushed back down.
