High Idle ~ 2,500 rpm?

Alright fellas,

I have already done a search and tried alot of the things (replaced vacuum lines, TB gasket, TB shaft seals, Bliss screw, checked thottle cable is free) and the car is still idling at 2,500 rpms (it idles smooth at that rpm, its not jumping around or anything). The arm on the IAC does move in and out so it looks to be functioning correctly. Needless to say I am stuck and would take any other suggestions. I have an aem ems but I am not that familiar with how to use it so if I can look at something within the application if you could please give some general instructions where to look I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

Whats the iac? If its not the same as a cold air idle I would check that.

I highly doubt its anything in the AEM, if you were tuned at TT and haven't messed with anything then that is unlikely the problem.

Did this happen recently, after you changed something, or what?

I have the EMS as well, and when I first got it I was having to teach the car to idle a bunch of times... Its kinda hard to explain how to do it though. But if you havent really changed anything then you shouldn't have to change anything within the EMS.. I would do some kind of boost leak test though, these cars with the EMS will idle smooth at high RPM's. Check the injector seals where they sit in the intake manifold. Maybe even the intake manifold gasket itself. Also check all the vacuum lines.

I have had some idling problems for awhile but I haven't touched anything. I will see if I can get a boost leak tester and I did a visual on the injector seals and they look good and the intake manifold is nice and tight but I will peak around and make sure that everything else is snugged up again.

Vacuum leak most likely. Check everything, all lines including the BOV. I know thats a cause of a high idle. Good Luck!
