It's funny how some people never miss a chance to criticise fp products.
Even people who love running e85 and KNOW that no other bolt on turbo can outshine the fp red with this fuel still try to find negative sides for this turbo and point them out

What I would like to know is, what is FP going to do for their existing loyal customers who have already purchased a Red well before this new design change was implemented at no additional charge for current and future purchases?

Scott says the best way to find this out is to call and talk to amber or someone in sales.

I agree 100%. The thing that bothers me most is that even if they do offer the upgrade for existing customers at no additional cost. Now we have to remove the turbo and wait yet again. I can't afford to have my car up on jacks. It's my daily driver. I'm sure FP will think of something.

Here we go again. Did you put the turbo on? Did you drive it? Did you have fun? WTF? Do you ask every manufacturer who makes a change in a product that you bought to give you the newest part for free? How about your TV? Groceries? Computer? That's just plain lack of logic, all around. All changes to products are done on a running basis, when the new parts are engineered, produced, tested, and approved for production. You got exactly the product you thought you were buying, and have no beef whatsoever if you didn't hold out for the next unidentified super dooper product coming next year.

The new design change was obviously added at no additional cost due to some sort of flaw in the original design, which is why it is being included at no additional cost. I never insinuated that past FP Red owners should get parts for free but there has yet to even be a mention of this "upgrade" being available to owners who already have purchased and received a Red. FP is a successful company because of people like me, the consumer. This is not a huge multi billion dollar corporation selling vacuums in a local Walmart, this is a turbo company who caters to turbocharged performance communities. To me it just seems like a back hand to everyone who supported and purchased this product (FP Red) with good faith right from the start.

i have to agree with the above. what if some of us (me) have a brand new red never used still in the box do i send mine in for the upgrade for free. This feels like the iphone i was the first here to get one damn thing was 599 when it first hit then not even like 4 months apple dropped the price did they say OH WELL DEAL HELL NO the community was outraged and they issued us all credits that paid the high price at the time. I should not have to pay a damn thing all that does is make a customer think twice about buying another product from them GOOD OR BAD you will always have in your mind if i buy this is the newest product around the corner. Im pretty sure they are smart enough to offer the orginal owners some incentive for this and if not OK who cares just makes you think twice about buying again period.

FP red on EBAY... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=150338913704

Get it while its hot. I spoke with the guy, sound slegit, seems legit with FP's website. Just an FYI. I would have snatched it already, but need just a few more parts to run that baby. i.e. injectors....and.... well, thats it.

This turbo sound slike the cats meow, the FP red anyway. I didn't know they took so much into the RR of this product.

This is stupid... It's just like the people that purchased a Green and then a month later FP came out with Red.
So they should get a new Red for free just because they came out with a new turbo??

I hope they offer a discount for the red owners to the upgrade but they're not obligated to.

That is just plain stupid. It's like me telling Mitsu to give me Mivec for free because they put it on the Evo IX. There will always be improvements to products and sometimes having things first results in you not getting the best product.
