by rebuilt crap i mean a already used 9 turbo sent in to build it into a red. Used being the key word. I got a brand new turbo from them built into a Red. FYI direct from them. but that doesnt change the fact that its still a red. i Know they are 9 turbos redone etc. . As long as everbody who wants one gets one eventually would be nice. i just encourge others to keep waiting you will eventually get one and if your tired of waiting there are other options for turbos to explore. Lots of new products to the market i keep waiting on a fp black

Ordered mine in like July/August and forgot about it, until it showed up 4 months later. Worth EVERY MINUTE. Fp is a huge credit to the Evo community

Perhaps you could save yourself the pain, suffering, and money by calling this number: 717.751.2345. You should get right through.
Do you know where that number goes to?

I'm wondering if the lead time is similar for a Red turbo that fits the Evo X? I would imagine that all of their turbos are delayed to some extent if they have so much backlog. The thing is I've heard great things about their turbos but seeing threads like this means that some people are not going to wait that long and change plans.

If they really are that busy then hiring some more people to offload the easier/repetitive/trainable work would be a good idea. Finding another machine shop in addition to who they use now to share some of the workload to improve turn around times would help as well. Not saying they aren't exploring these options but I would imagine they are turning away some business at this point.

Good luck to all of you waiting!

Indeed I do. It'll get you around the waiting list at FP and get a turbo in your hands in a hurry

Very funny still doesn't perform like the Red though.

BTW does anyone know how to get in direct contact with Rob from FP? I'm kind of tired of Amber and Aniel

Just to add since i've been looking to find one and have spoken with Amber, another tech at FP, and Aniel yesterday.

At first they said that buying one outright was a bit more difficult due to a low number of cores to choose from and modify which is why i have a low mileage perfect condition 9 turbo to send them.

They also told me 6 weeks and i actually asken Aniel if that was a real world date to hold them to and he really didn't answer as i didn't expect it to be true.

He did however tell me he would do his best but for sake of time he rec'd not to have the porting done as well as the coating as that's what was slowing up the process.

Fwiw my other main concern and also adding to possibly why the delay but i wanted to be re-assured that the core i sent in was the exact same i got back and Aniel said that they do indeed stamp them when they arrive to ensure this.

I'm still on the fence on shipping it out as i still have my Shearer 35r kit on the car so i could still drive it around........any of you guys with a RED on the way looking for a 35R kit

Call and ask for him. That's all I have ever had to do to talk to him.

That and the tech line will get you him about half the time.

That makes absolutely no sense. It's not used if it's rebuilt. That is unless you're talking about that silver hotside that will to turn to rust a day after being installed regardless lol. There is absolutely no difference between yours or anyone elses, a rebuilt turbo that has never been used is BRAND NEW PERIOD (which is each and every single Red that leaves FP's shop).
