I recently purchased a perrin intake tube off another member here. I am having some problems with installation. The lower radiator hose kinks the intake and squishes it together. Also, the intake tube makes the filter sit very low and it rubs against everything. Is there a difference between intake tubes for a viii or ix.

I have one and it fits with no problems, my car is a viii but it should be the same for both, check my pics of the install.

One thing that I notice is that yours looks a little diferent than mine, even the logo is diferent.

That intake tube is not for an Evo 8-9. Ask for your money back.

+1. The tube you have doesnt even resemble anything close to stock intake tube or the Perrin silicone tube.

WOW! That is an old part. We made some like that back in 2003'ish. It came with an airbox, it is not intended to be used alone. We do not have any of these air boxes, sorry.

But now everyone will think there is a problem with our current intake tube because of the thread title, oh well, we'll live.

The best thing to do is to always get in cintact with the company first. They sell the product and could tell you right away whats wrong with it. Good luck with your situation though.
