No.

The Medallion necks down inside the muffler close to 2.65 inches. Trust me I measured. Its quiet until you run a test pipe then its louder.

Non of the exhausts mentioned by the thread starter is a quiet exhaust. To better ask the question of the 2 already loud exhausts, which one is quieter. I would guess the HKS is quieter.

I know this is not the answer your looking for but remember where you live. Get yourself a Buschur bullet center and magnaflow rear.

Either that or you can get a cobb as well. Although cobb doesnt really neck down it is however slightly smaller with the inner diameter in comparison to most 3" exhausts.

Bad thing about the quiet Buschur is that the magnaflow rear is not stainless steel and may sucumb to rust. I know because I had a non-stainless steel magnaflow before and had to replace it due to rust. I don't even live in a place that gets snow. I thought someone mentioned the Tanabe necks down to now more than 2.8".

Good choice man! It actually won't really hurt you until youre trying to make over 400whp, and even then very very minor restriction.

Cheers!

Just wondering why no one has mentioned the Megan tbe? It's a full 3 inches, stainless, affordable, and sounds great...

To tell you the truth, I just went to the local muffler shop and just had them put a full 3" CBE on with a straight through muffler and a big tip at the end which is all stainless. The sound is not very loud, but is just a bit louder than the stock. From what I understand... 3" is 3" and since we are in Cali it just suck because say if I was in Oregon or something I would run the straight through 3" all the way through no problem, since they don't have to deal with the smog stuff, lol. But for the sake of us California folks, I would say go with a brand that is know for quality work and offers the best flow in my mind 3" is 3" and if the quality is good... Go for it! The police will pull you over no matter what, loud or not! I think I will go back to where I got my exhaust done to have them do a downpipe just because they back their work and if I have to take it back in... I wont have to pay and they will fix it, hell they even told me if I didn't like the way it sounded, just bring it back and they would try something else until I was happy. This is just a good business for me to deal with as far as I am concerned, then I could just have them make me a test pipe that I can swith out when need or just keep it in as well.

Yeah I decided to go catless.
I'm going with the HKS carbon ti exhaust and a DC sport downpipe.
I know I'm taking a risk being in cali but this is one of the only TBE's that sounds deep to me and looks good on my GG IX.

I was looking for the silent Hi-power but I really like how the carbon ti looks with all the other carbon fiber parts on my car.
