Ill have the hta 86 on my car very soon and ill let you know. But to be honest the hta 86 or the 6262 will end up killing your stock block. So if you have a built motor on the side then i would say go for it. If not i would get a built motor first then go with a big turbo like this.

Yea, built motor is the first step. The 6262 and HTA86 will make similar power overall.

What are the mods on your car? What boost and octane? I would say that putting an HTA86 or 6262 turbo on a car WITHOUT a built block.. is just, sorry.. but not very smart at all.. You are going to have to run lower boost to be in a safety margin for the sake of the block.. but expect to buy a new block AND build it if you push this turbo any where close to what range it should be operating at... I would have picked a RED if it was stock block.. anything bigger than that is just stupid now a days.. of course people do 35rs on stock block, but they end up blowing up and of course they are limited to pushing it..

Not everyone that has a big turbo is looking to make 600+ on stock block and why get a red when people know they are going to want to go bigger the red does put down nice numbers track/Dyno I think it would be more easy to put down better numbers with the hta86 with the right mods with the same boost as a red and not killing stock block but that's just me

I installed HTA86 in my 1G DSM last week.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAqsxHam_3E

The car mods:
FP HTA86 (T3 .82 A/R) turbo, T3 PR manifold, 6bolt 2.3L (Wiseco/Eagle), AEM EMS , Magnus, 044, FIC 1000cc, 264/272 HKS.

The car not yet tuned ... I need to put new tires .

I have the HTA86 in my awd civic with 4g63 2.3l 10.1:1 compression engine Ross/Crower and Jun 272/272 cams with AEM running e98/93oct. It made 651 hp and 560tq on 34psi with a .58a/r T4 exh housing on a T4 HKS exh manifold.

I recently switched to a .68 housing and it spools a little faster. I'm getting another manifold made before I put it back on the dyno. This manifold will be TS and soon I will have the FP 1.00 a/r ts Garret housing on the 86. I will do a comparison to see the gains or losses betweeen the two. We also plan to spray it as well.
