Evos do not like moisture
Seems like every time i have my car on my driveway overnight ( it is spring in MI, and a lot of rain) when i start my car squeaking noise comes from my timing belt area! but now it does not happen it was dry today! happens when it is also raining!
There is a tensioner on it somewhere, if not, loosen your alternator bolt, and twist it out until the the belt is taught. Your alternator should be on a little slide thing, that will adjust for a loose belt, I think, don't quote me here. But that is standard on most cars...

How can you tighten the belt if there is a tensioner on it? I thought the point of the tensioner was just like its name, to keep tension on the belt. And the fact that its spring loaded enables it to adjust.
Im pretty sure there is also some type of spray which helps to reduce the squeaking of the belts.

How many miles does your car have? I live in Miami and it rains all the time and i have never had this problem.
i dont think u can tighten the tensioner becuase it is auto tensioned.. it can only be loosened and then unloosend to let it go back into tension.

Mine did the same thing when it rained/was wet. It kept getting worse so I checked it out and the pulley was loose. I don't know if it was related, but tightening it helped but didn't eliminate it. I ended up getting a fluidampr and it still does it a tiny bit. The belt was fine also, no cracks or anything. I'll be replacing the belts later this year and I imagine it'll stop squeezing for good.
