hi everybody i have some question to ask ,seem i install the SBC-ID on my EVO ,but i have some problem need to ask ,first when i go to the boost set up ,i use the Channel on OFF ,but when i push the gas i just see the boost gauges read the peak is around 10.5-11 psi,and i think the car is slower than the stock ,so is this right if i turn the ebc in off mode,becasue i see the manual if i but the boost on OFF mode it will be in turn to stock ,but they said the ebc cannot go below the stock boost pressure becasue i see some body said the stock boost is 19psi but why my can is more slower than i but the SBC on my car,and did you know how to set the SBC and the stock boost is what psi because i don't know how to set it up because this is my first turbo car ,and one more question when i install the SBC ,when i push the gas to about 2500rpm and up(when the turbo kick in) i heard some valve sound or motor sound is come form the SBC SOLENOID UNIT (is like fast da da da sound)until i release the gas ,so is this normal or have some problem.

Ok the Ticking SOund is normal I got it too so dont worry,

Use the below setting to play with

Set 50
Gain 5

And now you should hit somewhere like 16 17 PSI
now raise set higher and reach desire boost level.

P.S. When u turn the EBC off its normal for the car to hit 10PSI since thats what our wastegate is set at I think.

I'll try my best to help you set it up, I am a NEWBIE just like you hahaha so I know how frustated it is setting this thing.

 

Also try to use 3rd or 4th gear to set it up cuz 1st gear is just too fast AND short.

Run it with 19 20 MAX only with 93 octane though and this should be safe enough.

 

Turn your gain up to around 20. I have turbo back with no cat and the Xede (94 octane map) and still get no spike with my gain at 25.

Turbo spools nice and quick.

Gain of 25 and set at 65 for some nice 21psi! Feels real good when I mix in 3 gallons 101 go 6 gallons 92. Gives me something like 96 octane. Car feels like its going to take off.
