Stock boost solonoid removed?

Hey i'm installing my SBC-iD, i usually leave the stock boost solonoid plugged in. Just out of curiousity if i unplug the stock boost solonoid will I throw a MIL (check engine light)?

In a word.. yes.. If the ECU cannot trigger the solenoid, the CEL will go on..

reason I ask is becasue my friend has removed both of his one off a 92 VR4 and one off a 97 GST. Neither throws a MIL.

It depends on the ECU.. But it is documented in several places that disconnecting it will trigger the CEL light, personally, I haven't tried it to find out though.

Leave it unplugged and find out!
Dunno if it's that simple of an install though, in the even that it does throw a CEL.

only thing that needs to be removed is the intake/MAF but that itself is a project if your trying not to make a mess of things.

Just to confirm, stock boost sololoid must be left plugged in, or you will infact throw a code.
