I just got off the phone with Exedy and they said even they won't sell it separate and that you have to buy the whole cover plate to replace it.

I wonder if there is any other way to source one.
Who did you guys talk to at Exedy? I know how to contact the VP of exedy
Thats kinda f'ed up if they make you buy a whole new PP for that one little few $ piece

look I dont wanna make money on people. Here is how I got mine as I was told sourcing them in a pain in the ***.
I emailed Exedy tech services cuz I couldnt get anyone on the phone. The VP got my email and forwarded to tech services. I said I had this clutch in and the TOB popped off and killed the wedge collar. I got him to send me a whole new wedge collar, ring and wave washers free of charge.
I know its a dick move, but its a dog eat dog world.
maybe if someone *****es enuff these will be made avail. Im sure they are all sourcing them from the same place? Maybe OEM? Does an OEM clutch have them?

Yes an oem clutch has them. Any wedge collar should work just as 20gmr has stated. Exedy is full of ****** if they're telling you to buy the new cover plate just for the wedge collar. Unfortunately it will have to be sourced from another clutch. As neither aftermarket or bishi has released them separately.

I figured it was worth a shot and called ACT. They do not sell them either. I asked him where they source them from and he said they are OEM mitsu parts. They said their covers are OEM covers and the Wedge Collar (retaining clip) come with them.
So now if we could find a way to get Mistu to make these things avail, would help greatly.

Also ACT's TOB from what I can see might be OEM too, but list for like $26 on their site. Wish I knew that last week before I spent $80 at the dealer

After all my problems with act's bearings in my dsm's i never take the chance anymore. Oem tob ftw.

Burned up evo clutches can be had for free/cheap. So getting a collar shouldn't be too difficult seeing the mass amounts of people throwing their blown stockers out.

What about the wave washers? Where do they go? Or did you not have those?
