ACT guys . . . describe your lockout/shifting problems

OK, Ive read around the forums alot about the ACT HI RPMS lockouts.
I got my car with an ACT in it and did everything I can think of to help. I had some annoying notchiness and what seems to me as hi RPM lockout

Did the full AMS bushing setup a few weeks ago and helped a little, but not enuff aparently.
I noticed it didnt as much when I ran a hard 3rd gear pull against a Camaro and tried to hit 4th and it just would not go for the life of me. Ihad to let off it to get it in. I assume this is what you guys have?

So I went and drained all the drivetrain and put AMsoil in all components after that ordeal and it shifts like absolute butter now (compared to before), but if I go to redline in 4th I still get this scratch. If I go a little below it seems to slide right in.

Do you guys have this problem in every gear?

I dont think its a syncro yet, but if I keep doing this, it likely will be.
Any other things to try before dumping $1500 on a twin disk?

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Most issues can be fixed with:

I had my ACT for 75k. No issues other than wearing it out over time.

I tried that too unfortunately. I dont remember on the temp of the components though. I know it was prob cold outside though. but I dont remember how up to temp the car was
The prev owner had it in pretty far and felt great engagement wise on the foot and feel, but didnt feel like the tranny liked it though.

Hitting 3rd gear hard would feel like it would slip and more lockout on other gears.

Now I pulled the pedal out more and engagement feel is so so, but the tranny likes it better if that makes sense?
Should I try and let it out more?
Is there a measurement on howthe stock engagement was setup?

The problem if your clutch was prob not installed correctly. Id like to think the shop that did this did it correctly, but I wouldnt have taken it there if I owned the car at the time. The tech who did it is great, but Im not gonna blame ACT. I ran their clutches for years in all my other cars with much more power and much more abuse and never had a problem.
I just hear in the DSM and Evo community this happens.

All I know is the way this thing is performing is pissing me off. Id like to go out and be able to crack 11's with this thing, but I cant if I cant shift it

ACT is a piece of ****. I installed the same clutch in both of my evo's and will never recommend this clutch to anyone. Both cars also got their transfer cases destroyed because of this clutch too. I guess it is an install error as ACT keeps telling everyone . I have talked to Jon@TRE about it and he completely agrees. If you want to enjoy your evo again get another clutch.
